Coffey has named Kim Le Roux as a key appointment to support the growing transport and property infrastructure industries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
General Manager Geoservices Africa Chris Fredericks said the new role reflected the increasing focus on finding smart solutions to support the local infrastructure sector.
“Whether redeveloping old infrastructure or a greenfield development project, understanding the complexity of what’s underground is as important as what will inevitably sit above ground,” Chris said.
“Kim’s experience in delivering geotechnical services on large and complex projects will support the region as it manages these challenges.”
Working closely with her clients and partners, Kim has developed new technical and commercial approaches to projects, and has built teams of highly experienced technical specialists to deliver them.
“I’m really keen to gain a thorough understanding of the infrastructure market in Johannesburg and across the broader Sub-Sahara region,” Kim said.
“Coffey has strong project delivery skills in country, which combined with our geomechanical and environmental capabilities can significantly reduce risk on large infrastructure projects, and I look forward to discussing how we can assist our clients realise the benefit on their next project.“
Coffey manages risk on complex projects in the property, transport, oil and gas, and mining industries for both private and public sector clients in Africa.
