    I was appointed CEO of Coffey on January 18, 2016 and have been the President of Tetra Tech’s Resource Management & Energy (RME) business group since June 2007.  I have more than 20 years of experience with Tetra Tech, and have served in various technical and management capacities, including project and program manager, office manager, regional manager and Chief Operating Officer of the predecessor to RME.

    I began my career as a civil/sanitary engineer in 1981 and entered the environmental consulting field in 1984.  I’ve managed major assessment, engineering and remediation programs for major oil and gas companies, Fortune 100 manufacturers, energy suppliers, and government agencies. 

    I’m a registered professional engineer in several states of America and have authored numerous technical articles. I hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Southern California.

    As Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer, I have overall responsibility for the management of Coffey with the primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all operational and financial related activities of the company.

     

    I support our operations across Australia and New Zealand, drawing on my international experience, including senior general management roles in Europe, the US and Asia.

     

    My diverse background in the resources, manufacturing, FMCG and professional services industries gives me the chance to make an important contribution to Coffey’s strategic direction.

    I’m the Regional General Manager Qld/NT/PNG (including Myanmar and the Middle-East), and I’m responsible for leading our business strategy and growth in this important region. I’ve been based in Queensland with Coffey since 2007, and during this time I’ve held a number of key roles including leading our environmental business globally and directing strategy for our oil and gas and mining businesses. I am also a Principal Environmental Scientist with a background in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA).

    Having trained as an ecologist and environmental manager, I’ve been working in the global environmental / engineering consultancy sector for more than 25 years. During that time, I’ve led environmental impact assessments on many major minerals extraction, oil and gas and infrastructure projects in in Australia, the UK, Hong Kong, Russia, Kazahkstan, Sri Lanka, Anguilla, China, Oman and the UAE. I’ve also managed World Bank funded projects and acted as an advisor to major banks on the Equator Principles and due-diligence audits.

    I’m proud to be running a business that fundamentally supports the success of our clients’ projects. Issues arising from in ground conditions, the environment and the regulatory landscape can account for a large proportion of our clients’ risk. Through our deep expertise and strong project management, we help our clients to manage these challenges, saving money and project time – and minimising their risk.

    Our NSW/ACT business provides services across the four key areas of geotechnics, environmental, testing and project management to both government and the private sector. We work predominantly in the transport and property infrastructure sector; together with the oil and gas and mining industries.     I have more than 25 years’ experience as an experienced Project Director working across the property industry in Australia and also Asia Pacific, China and India. I have also been involved in investigations and specialist reporting for Environment Effects Statements for oil and gas, mining, and transport infrastructure. In Victoria and Tasmania, I’m responsible for the strategic development and growth of our environmental services business. I achieve this through effective leadership, business management, client focus and supporting the development of our people. We measure success by our ability to meet and exceed client expectations – providing smarter solutions through collaboration, intelligent risk taking, and by providing quality outputs and timely delivery.

    I’m responsible for the management of Tetra Tech’s businesses in Western Australia – Coffey and Tetra Tech Proteus.

    An electrical engineer by training, I have over 16 years’ industrial electrical and control system experience, including work in power, petrochemicals and mineral processing industries. 

    I’ve worked with clients predominantly in China and Australia, in lead design and project management roles performed on large projects for key clients.

    As Project Manager and Lead Engineer I have progressed projects, worth up to $400m, from prefeasibility and design through to commissioning.

    I believe in providing innovative solutions, cost efficiency, and above all I believe in listening to our clients’ requirements to ensure we provide the best outcome for their projects.

    It’s exciting to be working within this dynamic business – whose value of finding innovative solutions keeps our work interesting and is beneficial for our clients. I’m also proud to be working with some of the best professionals in their fields.
