I'm the Gender and Social Inclusion Adviser for Coffey in Asia Pacific. I have 15 years of experience working in developing nations in the Asia Pacific region, specifically in the fields of gender equality and disability inclusion. I hold a Master in International and Community Development and am currently completing a Doctorate of Education specialising in gender and social inclusion.

In addition to my work with Coffey, I am also direct the Gender Consortium at Flinders University in Adelaide where I teach graduate level topics on gender analysis and gender mainstreaming, and lead fellowship programs and projects in areas such as women’s empowerment, gender and disability inclusion and responding to gender based violence. I have worked with clients including the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), New Zealand Aid Programme (NZAID), World Vision, UN Women Australia and Australian federal and state-level women's policy offices. I have been recognised for my work encouraging ties between marginalised communities in South Australia, Australia and around the world and have received a number of awards for this work including the Australian Learning and Teaching Council Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning, the SA Women's Honour Roll for Gender, Disability and Cultural Inclusion, and the Vietnam Women's Union Merit Medal for the Development of Women in Vietnam for Significant Contribution to the Equality and Development of Vietnamese Women.

My goal at Coffey is to work effectively alongside colleagues and stakeholders to assist and inspire them to find and create opportunities for gender and social inclusion and the empowerment of women and people with disabilities. Witnessing individuals, groups and organisations move from disinterest or resistance to committed and critical engagement is energising and leaves me with a real sense of hope and possibility.
