I'm a Senior Principal and Geotechnical Advisor with more than 40 years’ experience. I’ve worked extensively on the delivery of a wide range of infrastructure projects in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific. My experience and focus areas are quite broad – from very soft and difficult ground conditions, long term settlements, foundations and ground improvement to landslides and slope stability, engineered barriers and geosynthetics and the re-use of materials.
I act as an expert advisor and reviewer on many projects and legal cases. Recently I’ve worked on several major developments involving ground improvement for the oil and gas and property industries. From 2009 to 2011 I was the Engineering Advisor to UK Low Level Waste Repository on their Environmental Safety Case. This involved substantial settlement and geosynthetics design issues for one of the world’s most sophisticated engineered barrier systems. I have particular expertise in the management of geotechnical risk in difficult ground.
I’m passionate and perseverant in delivering the most appropriate and cost-effective solutions to meet challenging project requirements. In my extensive forensic and expert work, integrity and respect are central to my success in delivering effective independent advice and successful outcomes for all parties.
