Asbestos & Hazardous Compliance
A recognised leader in the management of hazardous materials and compliance auditing, Coffey Environments advise on current legislation and provide timely and accurate information on the presence of asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), lead in paint and other hazardous materials.
In Australian history, exposure to airborne asbestos fibre has resulted in disability and death for workers, family and friends. The purpose of our Asbestos Consultancy Service (ACS) is to assist employers and managers of workplaces to reduce the exposure of asbestos and other hazardous substances in the workplace. Coffey Environments were the first organisation in Australia to receive IEC/ISO17020 NATA-accreditation for inspection bodies management system in asbestos and hazardous material surveys.
Coffey holds NATA accreditation across WA, QLD and NSW for ISO/IEC 17020 Inspectorate and ISO/IEC 17025 Chemical Testing. We offer accredited services across asbestos and hazardous materials surveying, clearance inspections, and airborne fibre monitoring and analysis. The accreditations require us to be externally audited and assessed by industry experts, this ensures that our methodologies and standard operating procedures are contemporary, valid and industry leading.
We house our IEC/ISO17025 NATA-accredited calibration and testing laboratories in WA and NSW, equipped with the latest technology to provide quick results. This in-house capability allows us to respond to urgent situations where clients or the community could be exposed to risk. We are third party certified by NATA Certification Services International (NCSI) for AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System.
