Our Stabilisation and Recovery (S&R) Team offers a coherent support capacity for government and donor strategies in stabilisation and post-conflict reconstruction, from initial emergency response through to transition and development. Led by experienced security and development experts, the S&R Team provides a range of specialist services around a core offering of security
sector, governance and justice reform. Our work has spanned the globe from Iraq and Afghanistan to Sudan, Palestine, Uganda and the Congo.
Our work to support Economic Growth in developing countries focuses on enhancing the contribution of the private sector to growth and poverty reduction and to enabling the public sector to take an appropriate supporting role. We provide policy advice, project design and management across the thematic areas of: private sector development; economic policy and planning; strengthening business enabling environments and investment climates; and financial sector development.
Our Human Development Team takes a multidisciplinary approach to improving outcomes for health, education and cross-cutting initiatives such as HIV/AIDS, gender and social protection. Our focus is on policy development,
sector reform, institutional strengthening and capacity building, and program design, management and evaluation.
Our Performance Improvement Team works to raise the performance of governments, international organisations and NGOs worldwide, through improvement of governance systems, facilitation of strategic management and institutional development processes, and implementation of development
performance monitoring and evaluation systems. We have helped rebuild governance systems in fragile post-conflict environments, including Kosovo and Bosnia, established improved systems for co-ordination of external assistance and improved the performance of public administration.
Our dedicated Framework Management Team currently manages four major framework contracts focused on governance, social development, economic management and growth, and livelihoods. We are key members of five major EU Frameworks covering education, economics, trade, health and governance. In addition, we are a key member of the World Bank-funded Indefinite Delivery Agreement for Zimbabwe. The Framework Management Team guarantees rapid access to high quality expertise from carefully selected pools of technical specialists tailored to each contract.
