Program Design, Implementation and Management
We have designed, implemented and managed security and justice sector reform programs in some of the world’s most challenging countries. Our approach recognises the fundamental importance of local leadership in developing the strategic vision, and translating policy into plans and plans into outcomes.
We have a track record of working with all major donor governments. Our approach emphasises the integration of civilian, military, local, national and multi-national interventions under a single, locally-owned and -authored strategy.
We draw on our own experience and that of other practitioners to incorporate lessons learned and best practice, ensuring that knowledge is captured in order to support better program design and implementation.
Project examples
- Responsible for the design and implementation of a program to support security policy making in Sri Lanka, including the development of executive and parliamentary oversight and legislation
- Managed the UK funded Malawi Safety, Security and Access to Justice Program, designed to work across the justice sector, involving all relevant government ministries and institutions, as well as focussing on the role of non-state justice and policing systems
