(22 March 2012) A report from our US operations, MSI, was recently recognised at USAID for promoting excellence in evaluation. MSI’s Trade Evaluation report, From Aid to Trade: Delivering Results, was one of five evaluations selected to serve as examples of high quality evaluations. Those reports are featured online at www.usaid.gov/evaluation.
(8 March 2012) Dr. Anne Glover, one of Coffey's senior education advisors, will be chairing the 'Making partnerships work to reach the poorest and most disadvantaged children' session at the Education Effectiveness and Collaboration Forum. The forum is being held in Canberra on Tuesday 13 March.

(9 February 2012) Amanda Jupp, Project Manager for the Enterprise Challenge Fund (ECF) recently presented at the Current Trends in Private Sector Development conference in Bangkok, Thailand. With the conference focusing on development program results, and the DCED Standard for results measurement, Amanda's presentation was on Using the DCED Standard for Results Measurement in the Enterprise Challenge Fund.
(3 February 2012) The AusAID-developed TV series, Changing Lives, has just gone to air on the Australia Network - reaching viewers in over 44 countries. Focusing on the work of various Australian international development professionals overseas, Coffey's Alan Atwell was one of the people selected to be profiled.
Alan explains the work Coffey International Development is doing in Indonesia on behalf of AusAID, particularly in relation to the reconstruction work following the earthquake in West Sumatra in 2009. As part of this, Coffey was involved in the delivery of eight new health care centres (known as Puskesmas) which were opened late last year, servicing 200,000 people in Padang Pariaman, a district in West Sumatra that was devastated by the earthquake.

(9 December 2011) Coffey International Limited (“Coffey”) received two Gold Awards at the Consult Australia Awards for Excellence. The awards were announced at an annual dinner at the Sydney Town Hall on Friday 2nd December 2011.
The Awards recognise outstanding achievement by Consult Australia Member Firms and provide the opportunity for firms to demonstrate the design skills and technical excellence of their professional staff in project and service delivery.
Coffey International Development received a Gold Award in the Aid Projects category for their work on the AusAID-funded Basic Education Development Project (BEDP) in PNG.
(15 November 2011) Coffey International Development recently hosted a seminar in London to discuss aid effectiveness in today’s complex contexts, particularly in fragile and conflict-affected states. The seminar brought together international development practitioners, private sector specialists, monitoring and evaluation experts, politicians and economists.
(18 July 2011) A team of evaluation experts from Coffey International Limited subsidiary Managment Systems International (MSI) and the University of Pittsburgh recently completed a landmark evaluation of U.S. “aid for trade” assistance to developing countries. It concludes that USAID and U.S. government programs have contributed significantly to trade capacity building (TCB). The evaluation found U.S. assistance to be statistically associated with measurable increases in the value of recipient countries exports.
