We have been at the forefront of the design and management of innovative risk-sharing mechanisms that encourage the private sector to develop and implement commercially sustainable products and services. These improve the access of poorer communities to critical services and employment opportunities which assist in poverty reduction and wealth creation.
We also work closely with governments to reduce poverty by strengthening civil society and governance, improve social services such as health and education, and provide for the most basic of needs, helping to secure safe and reliable water supplies across Africa.
Our work with governments and civil society develops strategies and programs to improve governance and transparency and ensure better accountability on the part of the public sector.
