For over three decades, we have been called upon, primarily in Central and South America, to provide solutions to the diverse challenges facing governments and citizen groups alike.
We implement long-term projects in Colombia, Peru and Mexico, as well as dozens of short-term consultancies and evaluations on behalf of our clients. Our main client in the region is USAID. We have also worked on behalf of the Organisation for American States (OAS), the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the World Bank, UNDP, the MacArthur Foundation and the U.S. Department of Labor.
Our work in the region combines our expertise and knowledge in our key practice areas, including Governance and Public Sector Management; with our core competencies, including organisational development and training and managing policy change.

Mexico – Rule of Law III
MSI is implementing a five-year, rule of law project. Rule of Law III (ROL III): Support for Legal Reforms is the third USAID-funded initiative of its kind, in support of the Merida Initiative, which aims to prevent and eradicate organised crime.
The Organisational Development of Nicaraguan Civil Society program promotes increased organisational capacity, stronger governance structure, operational efficiency, and strategic visioning within selected civil society organisations in Nicaragua.
Peru – Millennium Challenge Corporation (MMC) Anticorruption Threshold Program
The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Anticorruption Threshold Program in Peru will help the Government of Peru (GOP) combat public corruption by improving administrative systems and procedures, strengthening enforcement, and increasing public awareness about corruption.
Colombia – Regional Governance Consolidation Program (CIMIENTOS)
Working through local partner organisations, MSI works to strengthen the capacity of local governments to deliver vital services in health, education and security.
