Hydraulic Transport & Pipe Testing
Coffey Mining offers a full-scale hydraulic transport testing and reticulation facility that accurately measures the rheological parameters of solid/liquid mixtures during transport through pipelines.
Our specialised closed loop pipeline system provides more realistic rheology assessment, enabling better reticulation designs; reduces the risk of reticulation failure due to blockage, wear or pipeline component failure; and results in improved transport efficiency and stability, as well as reduced equipment and operating costs.
The facility enables Coffey Mining to offer a complete package of product design, product manufacturing plant and pipeline design to ASME B31.3 to meet our clients’ hydraulic transport requirements.
Services include:
- backfill, paste backfill and thickened tailings systems design
- shotcrete and concrete design from mine tailings or traditional aggregates
- foamed products and grout development from mine tailings
- closed loop pipeline test work and pipeline design for backfill, paste backfill, concrete, shotcrete and thickened tailings
- in-situ pipeline analysis of flow rates and pressure gradients
