Group Executive of People & Culture
With a strong background in Human Resources, Mark joined Coffey in 2008 as Group Executive of People & Culture.
As Group Executive of People & Culture, Mark brings world-wide best practices and Coffey people together and will focus on building world class recruiting practices, career development and succession planning, and remuneration and benefits practices, all underpinned by operational excellence.
Prior to joining Coffey, Mark spent more than 15 years at Microsoft where, prior to him gaining some firsthand commercial experience leading the NSW Public Sector Business, he held a number of executive HR positions throughout the world. He held positions of Regional HR Development based in the Asia Pacific region, Regional HR Director based at Microsoft’s headquarters in Seattle and also looked after the HR direction for Africa, Middle East and Europe regions, and more recently Asia Pacific and Australia/New Zealand HR Director.
Before joining Microsoft, Mark worked at Honeywell, as the Learning and Development Manager for three years and prior to this Mark was employed in the NSW Department of Youth and Community Services, holding a variety of positions from Deputy Superintendent of a juvenile detention facility, Learning and Development Manager and Child Protection.
Mark has also served as a member of the editorial board for HR Magazine, various judging roles for educational bodies, member of two NSW Innovation Steering Committees, and has a degree in Social Science from the University of New England.
Mark is based in Sydney, Australia.
