Coffey Projects appoints new CEO

(Sydney, Australia – 1 April 2008) Coffey International Limited (ASX:COF) subsidiary, Coffey Projects is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Tucker to the role of CEO, commencing 1 April.

“Coffey Projects is now the largest specialist project management business in the southern hemisphere. It is a wonderful platform for Tom to build from,” said Roger Olds, managing director, Coffey International.

Tom comes from the position of Coffey Projects’ Chief Operating Officer. He joined Coffey Projects from Clifton Coney when the company was acquired in 2005.

“In his role as chief operating officer, Tom has been instrumental in steering Coffey Projects into a position from which the business can continue excellent growth. I have no doubt he will lead Coffey Projects from strength to strength as CEO,” said Roger.

Tom has more than 20 years experience in the building, construction and major projects sectors.

A South African native, Tom graduated from the University of Natal in Durban with a Bachelor of Science – Building. He worked with major building contractors Stocks, Ovcon and WBHO before migrating to Australia in 1998.

On his arrival in Australia Tom joined Coney Project Management, which became Clifton Coney, as a project manager, working closely on retail projects before taking an operational focus as COO.

Tom has worked extensively on projects across Australia and in Dubai, Vietnam New Zealand and Africa.

Outgoing CEO Peter Coney will continue to work with Coffey Projects part time on major business development opportunities in the property sector, for Coffey Projects and the wider Coffey group, particularly in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.
