Coffey appoints new general manager for Western Australia
(4 November 2010) Global professional services consultancy Coffey International Limited (ASX:COF) has announced the appointment of Mr Robert Rhodes as the Company’s general manager, Western Australia based in Perth.
The general manager’s role is responsible for overseeing sustained growth and profitability of the Coffey business in Western Australia, which includes a number of service lines, including Coffey Commercial Advisory, Coffey Environments, Coffey Geotechnics, Coffey Information, Coffey Mining and Coffey Projects.
Coffey regional manager, Asia Pacific Matt Thomas said that he welcomed Robert to the Coffey management team. “Robert will lead our West Australian team to further develop our local service offerings. We have some exciting growth plans in place for WA which will enable us to deliver a broad range of services and move closer to our goal of being one of the region’s top tier professional services consultancy.”
Robert commenting on his recent appointment said, “I am excited to be joining Coffey at this time in the Company’s history. Coffey has a new management structure and a three-year plan firmly embedded which provides me with the opportunity to work closely with our people, working in our specialist services across WA, to create an integrated Coffey culture. This will provide more opportunities for our people, and will help us to provide better service and smarter solutions for our clients.”
Robert has more than 15 years’ experience with senior executive roles managing large teams and improving business performance through focussing on operational and performance efficiency and business development. He has held the positions of general manager for Melwire WA and regional manager – Goldfields WA for Boral. Most recently he was general manager (Western Region) for Komatsu Australia Limited.
He holds the position of non executive director for CIC Mining Resources Ltd.
He commenced his position on November 1, 2010.
