Coffey names chief financial officer

(13 November 2008) Coffey International Limited today announced the appointment of Mr Urs Meyerhans to the new role of director of finance and chief financial officer. Urs will commence the role in early 2009.

Coffey International Limited managing director Roger Olds said he was delighted Urs had accepted the position.

“Urs brings to Coffey a strong track record as chief financial officer with several listed companies and nearly 30 years’ leadership experience in finance. His experience and international background will make him a core member of the new Coffey Executive Team which will propel Coffey towards being a truly global consulting company by 2020.”

Urs is currently finance director of Wattyl Limited, and has headed the finance function at Wattyl since 2002. Prior to his role with Wattyl, Urs had been chief financial officer of United Group Limited, group financial controller of WMC Resources Limited and chief financial officer of Swiss Aluminium Australia.

Commenting on his appointment, Urs said: “Coffey is a company with great potential and an excellent talent pool. I am looking forward to joining the Coffey team and contributing to the journey ahead.”

Urs holds a Diploma of Commerce, is a certified accountant and has completed an executive programme at Stanford University.

He will be based in Sydney.

Coffey International Limited previously announced a new executive structure and team on 16 October. The announcement of the final role to be filled, director of operations, is expected to be announced soon.

Ms Debbie Goodin is currently the acting chief financial officer and will continue to fill the role until Urs’ commencement.
