As the Operations Manager for the Northern Territory, I’m responsible for all aspects of project delivery across geotechnical and tailings engineering, environmental services and health and safety in the Northern Territory and South-East Asia.
I’m a Civil Engineer with a Masters in Environmental Engineering Science and have over 24 years’ experience in both the private and public sectors the majority of which has been based in the Northern Territory.
Having worked primarily in the environment and water sectors I have held senior positions across NGO, government and private sectors at international, Commonwealth and state level. This includes the statutory position of Supervising Scientist and the inaugural head of the Department of Environment’s Science Division within the Commonwealth Government. This division combined the specialist areas of the Supervising Scientist with the Office of Water Science and the Australian Government’s Environmental Resources Information Network.
Through my senior government and industry experience I have gained a broad skill set across many technical disciplines. Having worked with Ministers, Traditional Owners, Government, industry and public stakeholders both nationally and internationally on controversial topics such as nuclear/uranium mining and hydraulic fracturing, I have acquired a unique perspective and in-depth knowledge of environmental issues and stakeholder engagement.
Having a wealth of experience, knowledge and networks across the environmental spectrum, from research to regulation, with a particular focus on the Northern Territory and the wet/dry tropics, I’m excited to be working with Coffey and its clients, and in particular its operations in the Northern Territory.
